Rated 5 out of 5 by TommyB Best runners I have had!
Tried many makes before beginning with M and other brands beginning with A. A was terrible, blisters all the way & never got on with them, this is despite being fitted for them. I never considered Adidas as a serious running brand but these shoes have changed my opinion completely. These feel like you are running on air - amazing - not a blister in sight and support in just the right places. I think the mixed reviews here just prove you shouldn't pay attention to any of them and these highlight the fact that each person is different, has different feet and you have to see for yourself; go to a reputable running store and get them fitted properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by blschupbach Supernova Sequence 6 - too many changes from 5
I am a woman but have worn Supernova Sequence men's running shoes for over five years. They have been a blessing to my racing and casual running life! Unfortunately the changes made to the shoe for the 6 model are not up to par and I'm finding myself having to search for a new shoe. The shoe has gotten more narrow, and one thing I loved about this shoe was how wide it was for my bunions. I also feel like my heel wants to slip out, especially with my custom orthotics, a problem I never had in the past with the 5 model and older. I am disappointed with the 6. Hopefully the 7 will go back to some of the old features so I do not have to find a new shoe!

Rated 3 out of 5 by 1OldDude The jury is still out on the Supernova Sequence 6
One of the firmest shoes in my arsenal. I disagree with your description of the shoe being light, cushioned, and flexible. It is a comfortable fit and protective from ground elements. To clarify my opinion I've only run a few miles in them.
I wish you guys provided more information on your shoes; motion control, stability, suggested body types, suggested foot type, ect.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grolem Something missing....
I really like this shoe. I've been a loyal supernovarer for years and this is probably the most radical difference I can remember between iterations, but I would absolutely not say that was a bad thing. The upper is more comfortable than previous versions with fewer seams to rub during long runs. They don't feel quite as cushioned as the previous supernovas, especially in the heel, but the reduction in weight actually feels pretty significant (not sure what it ACTUALLY is), so I think less cushion is good in this case. The first pair I picked up fell apart in the shop so the one thing I'd say that is missing is build quality. Since I change my shoes every 3 months or so quality is not as important as innovation and comfort, but I think this shoe is quite badly put together. I'll buy another pair though and the 7 when it comes.

Rated 3 out of 5 Why change something great?
Based on the shoe alone, I would give this shoe a 3/5, but compared to past versions, my disappointment makes me want to give it a 1 or 2. The sequence has always been a shoe with lots of loyal followers, and I've never been disappointed with what Adidas has created. I just don't understand why this year, they would make such drastic changes to the shoe we all love. If you are a lover of the Sequence 4's or 5's, don't buy this shoe. It will leave you disappointed. I just order another pair of Sequence 5's, and I'm going to try to wait until next year, when hopefully Adidas will realize their mistake and make the next model more similar to the traditional Sequence shape and feel. Disappointed.

As a user of models 3-5, I find that you have changed the basic fit and feel of the model 7, the change isn't good. The heel and arch feel low,the toe box is narrow.
What used to fit like a glove is no longer comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 SuperDUPERnova
Choosing my next pair of runners was no easy task. I spent a couple of weeks reading reviews, checking out the latest iterations, trying on a few pairs in the local running shops and brand hopping. Funny then, that I came back to Adidas.
Over the last few months I have been training for a half marathon, wearing the Adizero Tempo 5. What a shoe. Couldn't fault it at all. After a calk injury, I decided I wanted a little more cushioning, and support for my mild overpronation. I settled on the Supernova Sequence 6 for a couple of reasons.
1. Keeping the same support systems (which I personally believe is one of the best on the market) will allow me to dip back into my Tempo's for a fast run/race if I want to, without a break in period.
2. The Supernova offers the same support I've found to be ideal for my gait, whilst giving me a little more cushioning.
3. The new seamless upper has allowed me to drop half a size, keeping the shoe in better keeping with my frame (some trainers just felt too clunky!) and avoids the inevitable rub of a complicated toe box.
4. The new 6 looks sleek and well put together. It seems to take some design cues from the Boost range, which is no bad thing as they are some good looking shoes. I went with the white/blue/silver - I can't fault it! Bright for the winter too!
5. After just a couple of runs, the Sequence have proved to offer me ample comfort and support, whilst not feeling too heavy or clunky. I have even found a tendancy to run on the mid-forefoot, but that might be due to a concious effort to change my form than just the shoe itself.
Overall, I would personally recommend the Sequence if you're looking for a supportive, cushioned and classy looking trainer. The only drawback it would seem is that the mesh does let in a little too much water from the English winter showers. Other than that, I find it faultless. There are comments that the heel feels low, but I don't think I've noticed transferring from the Tempo.
Ultimately, read all reviews to make a shortlist, and go try the shoes on. Everyone is different, and what one person loves, another hates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mrjoe1008 Great shoe!
This is a great shoe. It is lighter than the 5, yet provides similar support. It also fits my (rather wide) foot MUCH better than the 5, which I found had too much room (i.e., bulkiness) in the toe box. Note that the laces tend to undo, however, so prepare to double knot. FYI: I run 3 x week, 7 - 11 miles (asphalt and dirt).

Rated 1 out of 5 by gabby10 Mesh at toe separates from toe cover
I have had 2 supernova glides, 5 and 6, very comfortable and good shoes, BUT BOTH had the mesh develop small holes and seam separation at the left toe area within 5 month in one case and 1 month in the other!!! I don't even run! Just walk in them. Bad design. will never buy a glide model again! Frustrated!
