I love the Fabric. It's a bit long but that's because I am a petite size. Could be a bit loser around the waist, lower tee as it bunch up although this doesn't really bother me a lot. For this reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 rating
Bought it because the color and the design are so unique even I have three tennis shoes already. Played tennis twice already, and love it. When I played with new shoes in the past, I felt they are tight here or there, never quite right. But not this pair. I like it so much I want to buy some other colors. But unfortunately it looks like they only have one color for this style.
I usually have to remove my shoes immediately after playing tennis, but these are so comfy and lightweight, I can wear them indefinitely. They provide good support and are very stylish. I have these in white also. I had a green/aqua pair that had a defect in the collar of the shoe, had them replaced and they tore again. White ones are fine, so I'm hopeful these will be OK, too, as these are truly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Worth the price!
I have always worn white tennis shoes and fell in love with the fun color in these shoes. I bought a half size larger than I usually wear and they are fine. Let's hope they carry me to winning tennis!
These shoes are super comfortable and great for playing tennis! No need to break them in as they feel like wearing old shoes the first time you put them on. The colours are very vibrant and they look great on the court.
I have a large and hard to fit foot. The Barricade 2015 by Stella McCartney fits my foot perfectly! It has great support and can be adjusted well for width and stability control. The one thing that I would suggest is to have an extra hole at the top for the laces to snug up the heel. I have a wide forefoot and a very narrow heel. So, the extra hole helps to snug up the heel. The arch support is great and snug. The lack of stitching around the toes is excellent and relieves any pressure points on the forefoot. I'm hoping to buy a second pair as a backup out of fear that I won't be able to get this same shoe later. I'm a USPTA Elite pro of 30+ years and support, comfort, and great looks in a shoe is important .... and this shoe delivers on all three.
I started wearing the Adidas Barricades 10 years ago and was a little disappointed I couldn't find my old pair on line with the silver metallic stripes. But when I read the positive reviews on this pair ... I gave it a shot. And I am thrilled I did ... as soon as I put my feet in I knew I had made the right choice. They are super!!
Wore these for the first time today and played for two hours outside in comfort. Length wise they are a true size 5 and a little narrower than usual. Provide good support to the foot and very comfortable.
I normally wear a size 9 and had to go down 1/2 size for a great fit. I purchased these shoes for cross training. I love them. They are very comfortable and look great. The semi smooth sole lets me pivot easily as well as providing enough traction for quick movements.
I have a wider foot than average and didn't find the shoes too narrow. I followed the advice of other reviewers and sized up by 1 and a 1/2. Both were way too large for me. I've now ordered my normal size. The shoe is great otherwise (looks/design/grip/lightweight).
Very pleased with the Barricade Team 4. Soles are hardwearing - on my last pair the heel lining wore out before the soles but my shoes do get a lot of use. Lightweight but with quite a bit of support. I hope they continue to be produced and are not changed on the whim of a designer.
I've never purchased Adidas tennis shoes before; however, from reading all reviews about this new model and how they have improved on certain aspects of the fit, I decided that was enough to go on. Other brands that I was used to wear have been disappointing: rough around the seams at the forefront or the top rubber parts are just digging into your toes. With these main concerns in my mind, I decided to trust the SMC 2015 and give them a try. The promotional price was tempting and the additional 25% online discount was a definite push for this purchase. I needed a large size to fit my wide feet and the length for one of my toes. I could have used a 9 size, but this way, I am guaranteed to bruised toe nails. The Heel part is a little loose when I am running and is seen flopping, but I had to tighten the laces a little. Arch support is nice, which was one of my concerns since I have high arches. I have worn the shoes six times now: practices, lessons, matches: my calluses are disappearing. I usually play four times per week, including competitive matches. I am not crazy about the mint colour as it doesn't match any of my tennis outfits, but I was desperate for new shoes. I see that they now have a new model with yellow and black, now that would be a wonderful combination and suit most clothing colours. Had free shipping and received them withint two days (Ontario address). Bravo!
I've played tennis in running shoes for 11 years because tennis shoes always made me feel clumsy and lacking in agility. I have wasted money on shoes I've never worn on court because they inhibited movement. I bought these with trepidation but am absolutely delighted with them. They have the feel of running shoes but are durable enough to withstand the pounding they get on a hard court. They are very comfortable and fit true to size. I feel light and agile and don't even notice that I'm wearing them. I'm tempted to buy more now in case they ever go out of production. At last I look like a preoper tennis player!
Compared to the 2014 model of these shoes, I would say it runs 1/2 a size larger. The material inside of the shoes feels softer as well as the outer material since they got rid of the plastic mesh with holes that covered most of the 2014 shoe. It feels like I'm wearing running shoes when I wear them...they are very comfortable. I'm not sure if I don't make as many side to side motions or that I don't notice the stability issue compared to one reviewer...overall if a person can live with the shoe being 1/2 a size larger, I like it more than the 2014 model.
